Who we are

Built at an HBCU. For HBCUs.

UNITE Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in August 2011 at Alabama State University. Since 2013, we’ve grown into a national organization serving high school students and HBCU students across the country.

Our mission runs both directions: we connect secondary students to historically Black colleges and universities, and we connect HBCU students to the professional opportunities that move careers forward.

The work happens through programming — college prep for high schoolers, leadership institutes for college students — and through the relationships built over a decade of showing up consistently for the communities we serve.

Since 2014

“Over $37 million in scholarships secured for our high school seniors.”

What we do

Two programs. One pipeline.

From high school senior year to HBCU graduate, UNITE walks alongside students at the moments that matter most.

01

  • Application support & review
  • Scholarship strategy
  • FAFSA & financial-aid guidance
  • Essay coaching
02

  • Internship pipeline
  • Leadership development
  • Professional mentorship
  • Career-ready skill building
  • HBCU alumni network access
Support the work

Every dollar moves a student closer to graduation.

UNITE is funded by individuals and partners who believe in what HBCUs build. Whether you’re giving to fund a scholarship, sponsor an Institute cohort, or underwrite College Prep programming — thank you. Your gift goes directly to the work.
